Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure® Seeks More Team Participation in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
DAVENPORT----In effort to boost participation numbers and raise more money for mammograms for the underserved and underinsured, The Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure® is working to recruit teams of ten or more individuals to form a team and sign up for the 20th annual event.
A kickoff breakfast will be held for veteran team captains and newcomers on Tuesday, April 7th from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Stoney Creek Inn and Conference Center, 101 18th Street, Moline.
“We’ll offer tips on how to recruit a winning team and demonstrate how easy it is to register your team online,” said Honey Bedell, chairperson of teams for the Race. Bedell says a breast cancer survivor will also share her inspiring story at the breakfast.
Anyone interested in forming a team or attending the breakfast can contact the Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure® hotline at 1-877-921-CURE (2873), or email qcraceforthecure@genesishealth.com.
