Where Does The Money Go?

An estimated 182,460* new invasive cases of breast cancer are expected to occur among women in the United States this year. Your registration fee will help fund the Quad City's fight against breast cancer through local education and early detection, as well as national research efforts. Up to seventy-five percent of the net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race for the CureŽ will be used to provide mammograms and breast prosthesis vouchers to the underserved and underinsured women in our eight county region, in addition to educational efforts and screenings. Twenty-five percent of the net proceeds from the Race help fund the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Program.
